About the role:

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to make a genuine impact and positive contribution to the employment experience for colleagues across The Oak Partnership Trust. This is a varied and influential role covering the full employee lifecycle.

The role provides an exciting opportunity to lead our HR service, working closely with senior leaders and playing an important role in developing a positive, people-focused culture across our Trust.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who combines sound professional HR knowledge with a practical and people-focused approach. You will have the confidence to advise senior leaders, manage complex and sometimes sensitive employee matters, and build positive relationships across a multi-site organisation.

Education HR experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential. If you are an experienced HR professional from another sector who is interested in bringing your skills into education, we would very much welcome your application.  For full details of the role and requirements, please see the job description and person specification.

What we can offer:

  • The opportunity to develop Trust-wide systems.
  • A chance to shape and influence a thriving education Trust.
  • A supportive and collaborative Central Team which includes 3 HR administrators.
  • The opportunity for professional development.
  • The opportunity to make a real difference to the experience of colleagues and children across our Trust.
  • The opportunity to join the Local Government Pension scheme.

Flexibility:

We want to attract the best person for the role and recognise that this may mean working differently. The role is therefore available for between 20 and 37 hours per week, working 39 weeks plus 2 additional weeks.

We are open to conversations about working hours, days and patterns, provided these align with the needs of the Trust and our schools. Our Central Team office is based at the Hazelbrook Campus, Selworthy Special School, although the role offers the opportunity for some hybrid working and work from other schools within the Trust.

Closing date: Tuesday 3rd November

Interview date: Wednesday 11th November
